Enelrahs ink

This is what made me an Artist.
My name is Sharlene M. Mowbray.
My Mom, when I was very young, would take me to art museums, and buy me books on art. One day I saw Starry Night, by Van Gogh. There and then I knew what I wanted to do; I wanted to be an Artist.
I was lucky, my Mom and Dad made sure I had what I needed, not just in life but as an artist too. From Mommy-and-Me classes to drawing, oil painting, and more.
My Mom has always given me the courage to do what I needed and wanted to do. When I was scared to go to college for digital graphic design and illustration, she helped me to see what I wanted to do was not a mistake and that I would not be doing it alone.
I work with pen, pencil, oil, acrylic, watercolor, digital, and the written word. I have worked with ink, clay, and pastels. I am working on human anatomy. I like to work with a lot of light and dark, not just light and dark in the literal sense, but the light and dark of the world and our souls.
I like childlike wonder and want to keep it alive throughout my work.
I am so thankful to be able to do what I do.
